Well, I am now one week away from departure! So much to do, but so very excited. Shockingly enough, I am all packed and organized for the trip. I am switching classrooms at school so that is the main thing on my mind now. Everything needs to packed up and ready to be moved by the last day since that is when I leave. switching classrooms=about the worst. I am also a terrible organizer as people who have lived with me or breathed near me can attest to, so that makes it a little more difficult. It will all get done, it just takes a lot of work.
I am still waiting on my placement for South Africa to find out where I will be volunteering. I am hoping to be placed in a school, so fingers crossed! We got our volunteer schedules this week. We volunteer each day from about 7:30-1, then come back to the home base, eat lunch, and then they have some type of activity for us most days. Things like language lessons, guest speakers, and tours of the area. It really sounds like an amazing program. We have weekends free for personal travel and day trips.
